It is found in plants such as Angelica Dahurica and Polygonum Cuspidatum. Pratensein has been shown to have anticancer properties, inhibiting the growth of carcinoma cells by altering their energy metabolism. This compound also has antioxidant properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS) in cells. Pratensein has been shown to bind to ATP-binding cassette transporters, which are membrane proteins that transport molecules across membranes, preventing the export of certain molecules from cells.growth.
